Spring is finally here and today is the return of Body SMART! The difference is we’ll be outdoors for a while. There’ll be loads of variety, a great soundtrack and a guaranteed workout that is perfect for whatever stage you’re at (even if you feel really unfit). If you’re feeling like I am right now then you’ll be excited to get back to exercising and excited about getting back to having fun and socialising. It’s been a long cold winter and it was so difficult to stay motivated to exercise when life was confined to the home.
All over the country gyms are now planning their big indoor relaunch in time for April 12th. They’re offering fitness and sweaty tough workouts where you’ll go from zero to 100 miles an hour. But please do be careful!
Yes absolutely, you want to quickly get back to your fitness levels of old (or you might even be starting exercise for the first time in years). But what you don’t want is to feel burnt out or get injured in the process. This is why I believe that the most important thing you can do for yourself when returning to more intense exercise is to take baby steps. Start slowly and celebrate each and every personal win as it happens.
Step 1 : Learn about which exercises are right for your body. Understand how your posture affects your vulnerability to injury.Step 2 : Start slowly. There’s no need to jump straight in at the deep end. Learn to perform the exercises with great form and you’ll find that you get so much more out of them.
Step 3 : Enjoy your workout. It’s got to be fun or what’s the point? Life is too short to spend time on things that don’t make you smile.
If you’d like to try out a super fun workout and get to your goals quickly, safely and all while having lots of fun come and join us at Body SMART. We’re training outdoors in the most stunning countryside location and the great thing is that you can start at anytime. Train Monday and Wednesday evenings for an hour between 5pm – 7pm with a small group of like minded Body SMARTer’s while you get fitter, more confident and feel great in a matter of weeks. It’s COVID safe and it’s the best total body workout you’ll find for miles.
See you soon 🙂
